The poor horse didn't even get a name in the series. At least Champion and Trigger got credit for their roles. ;D

I heard of it first in Pet's fan fiction and several of us adopted it. The horse was never addressed by name in the show. I think Jim just called him "boy" a few times, as in "atta boy!" Allan "Rocky" Lane's horse was Blackjack.

Allan "Rocky" Lane was the voice of Mr. Ed!!! He was also a fairly successful western star in the 40s and 50s. Had a great voice and was pretty good looking.

WOW is right! I've never seen him before either. Why, he's almost as purty as Mr. Ed himself!
Paradox can't help herself, she breaks out in song....
"Aaaaa..Horse is a horse of course, of course... and no one can talk to a horse of course! That is, unless the horse, of course, is the Famous Mr. Ed!
Go right to the source and ask the horse, he'll give you the answer that you endorse. He's always on a steady course... Talk to Mr. Ed!!!" ;D ;D ;D

"Sugar, we have got to get you some Mr. Ed viewing time!"

Niecie joins Paradox in singing... See Ace. I'm not the only one who knows that song by heart! Let me see, until we can hook you up with Mr. Ed, maybe I'll dig through my files and see if I can find the story I wrote about Jim meeting Black Jack. It's not very exciting but at least it's finished...hmmmm...somewhere.... Paradox starts digging.

Been sloooowly watching my way through Iron Fist. Just saw the part where Artie starts the fight in the baggage car, then pitches the baddies out the side door. I was cracking up soooo badly, slapping my knee (yes, I do that!), and the kids were getting mad at me for making so much noise.
Oh, yeah, I cracked up loudly when Artie dipped the lady, too.

Mark Lenard's character has an artificial hand, which is apparently supposed to be iron.
As for dipping the lady, well, he did! Swooped her into his arms and bend her sideways to kiss her.
This is toward the end of Act 3, just before Artie starts playing divide-and-conquer, culminating in the fight in the baggage car.

That's as far as I've gotten through the 3rd season. Ok, I have watched some out of order...
Waitaminute... you're not fishing for clues to the Mystery Quote -- are you?
Why, I'm shocked. Shocked!

TARDIS brokeded -- Jim & Artie unconscious -- Ace out of commission -- Niecie grounded...
We're good, ain't we?

Watching TNOT Arrow now -- I could be mistaken, but when Jim fires the derringer to shoot the spike into the beam way over his head... well, I ran it back and looked more than once, then slowed it down to one-quarter speed and watched again -- I'm pretty sure that when the spike is fired from the derringer, it immediately falls to the side of the derringer on its way to the floor.
'Cause derringers are just sooooo powerful, right?

Another scene I noticed in Legion of Death is when Jim & Artie are escaping in the wagon with the "Black Legion" coming after them, if you look closely at the scenes of the Legion they are clearly U.S. cavalry, wearing cavalry uniforms. More borrowed clips from other movies or shows.

So... when they would stick the spike in the wall, yank it out using the attached line, then run the film backwards to make it look like the spike was shot into the wall -- that *wasn't* the illusion, nicht wahr?

I'm almost certain I've seen the Jim-in-the-pit scene from Arrow in an episode I watched a week or so back. Not sure which.

It also shows up in a season 4 ep--Bleak Island? Where you see the mysterious hand helping him. I'll see if I can find my screen cap for it.

No, the Arrow scene is used in Cossacks--and here is where we see the mysterious helping hand at the very bottom of the pic.

Cossacks! Yeah, that was it! I knew it was one I had watched lately. Thanks!
You know, not only is it the same pit, but it's the same mine shaft with bubbling, er, geysery thingies along the way.

If that was the very same fall in Arrows reused in Cossacks, then they cut it better in Arrow.
