Okay, I'm an Artie's Angel all the way, but I freely admit there's a fond spot in my heart for Doctor Miguelito Loveless. Fess up, there are some of you out there with the same inclination.
So, what should we call those of us with the good taste to admire genius?
So far I've come up with
the Doctor's Damsels the Doctors's Devotees the Doctor's Darlings Loveless's Lovlies Miguelito's Muses
Any other suggestions? I'm sure we can come to a consensus.

Or Loveless's Ladies?
Oh right, you didn't like that one on the other thread.
Hmm... time to break out the thesaurus!

Miguelito's Misses? Or does that sound as though he overlooked us? I think that Dr. Loveless is one of the greatest villains ever created, and is not given enough credit, neither his creator nor the actor.

Thinking of the good doctor's middle name -- Quixote's Kittens.
Yes, I went there.

I think that Dr. Loveless is one of the greatest villains ever created, and is not given enough credit, neither his creator nor the actor. Yeah to the first. There's aren't too many suitable "M" words, though I am tending towards the muses one, simply because it fits in with the first name pattern for the other guys. And I like the idea of being an inspiration for genius. We'll see what a few more people think of that - or come up with more of their own. I fully agree that both Miguelito's creator and (especially) the actor have been vastly underpraised. Artie may be number one for me, but Miguelito is a close second. (Sorry, Jim, brain before brawn. Even though Jim has brain, his brawn seems to be the most prominent asset, which is not bad thing either!) Oh - and I don't know if you spotted my request on the "Drunken" thread, but may I use one of your (delicious) screen caps as my avatar? You did so much work, I felt I should ask.

Great idea, nydiva, and btw, I'm Rielle's who's also been mia most of the summer and fall. I love Michael Dunn and Loveless is the over the top best of all the bad guys our agents faced off with. My vote would be for Miguelito's Muses, or something else that uses his first name in following the established 'trend'... But Loveless' Lovelies would be my second choice.

Rielle, I think I know who you are. You run the "Authentic Brilliance" yahoo group (which I also joined). Not much doing there lately, so I widened my horizons. So far, I think Miguelito's Muses is winning.

Thinking of the good doctor's middle name -- Quixote's Kittens. Yes, I went there. I think that's both adorable AND naughty (which means I like it). But since his middle name was only referred to once, it's a bit of a stretch. So that can be our special name = between you, me and the Doctor!

By the way, by the authority in which I've invested myself, I hereby declare me Miguelito's Main Muse PS-That doesn't mean I've given up chasing Artie!

Um, not that he would dream of running away from me. What I meant to say is that I haven't given up letting Artie chase (and catch) ME.

Yes, that's me and that list can be really quiet, hardly gets a stirrin' even when I post what I see on ebay... on the other hand the list I'm still running for RobertC is even quieter, even though there are numerous members. Yahoo groups have been a place to meet other fen for a long while but a lot of them are fading out, going to more active boards and forums, that can include more things to see and do and talk about. No problem of course, just an observation of change. Pet's board here is a lot more fun for sure.

Where you been hiding, rielle?? Welcome back. thanks CG, Apple and Silver, thanks Dieter too... I've been up to my ears in RL this past summer... lost one of our three cats, had a health scare with my roomie... RL can really get in the way of enjoying yourself sometimes! LOL Also we don't have an actual linen closet so I'm trying to come up with an alternative to piling the towels in one corner and the sheets somewhere else. OY! Glad to be back... still busy but not quite as nutsy now. ... well, not in the usual boring ways, at least. Considering jumping into Nano again next month, so far I've gotten the word count twice but haven't been at all happy with the drafts that result. okay back on topic, I did a quick Thesaurus dive and came up with two more M words... minions... and molls... >>>>>ducking and running to hide in that armoire with James!

Moll's is a good one! Rielle, I don't have a linen closet either. My solution is the under the bed rollaway plastic bins. Also I depleted my supply of sheets to two sets per bed, one on, one put away. I have thought about putting the second set under the mattress for storage, but my family resists change.

I quite like minions - especially as it's more inclusive of our wonderful male contingent. Mostly, though, I just love the word Minions!

I'll let the majority rule, but there's no reason why a male can't be someone's muse either. Think of how much our guys are an inspiration!! Moll always puts me in mind of the James Cagney/Edward G Robinson gangster movies. No other objection. Minions is okay too - but connotes subservience. Whatever is decided upon, I still claim the title of Miguelito's Main Muse.

Hmm, I don't see why we couldn't have two types of Loveless adherants. The good doctor would probably approve of having both muses and minions. After all, he had both Antoinette (a definite muse) and Voltaire (a minion if there ever was one)! Then each person could chose which they felt they were more suited to call themselves. Maybe? Unless there's any objection, I hereby designate the admirers of our genius Doctor as Miguelito's Muses and Minions. I'm da Main Muse. He'd like having TWO designated categories of admirers - which is more than Artie and Jim have! ;D

Oh, I like Minions. It's totally in character for the doctor, as he must be the boss! Therefore everyone else must be minions.

I may even have a new Loveless story to post in a week or so in honor of the new group. (I don't know if that means I'm a muse or a minion!)
