Hi all:D seeing that a lot of the folks here are writers I was curious as to what your favorite thing about it is? mine is diffidently all the fun research involved:D sorry if a thread like this has already been posted before:D thanks western666.

western, that's a great question and no I don't recall a similar thread here, maybe there's been one on Kristin's forum. Don't know. my favorite thing about writing? just one thing?  okay.  its having a story idea take me and run with me out into the wild blue of imagination. I don't think there's anything like that feeling...of building something in words that's already come to life in your mind and hopefully will come to life for your readers. Positive feedback is lovely and any feedback is very good for a writer, I don't write for myself alone, mostly. But that story-making feeling is the best... imo. |

Writing is like a trip to the seashore, or a mountain trail hike…or any place else that I don’t live. The air currents are different, the sounds are different, the light is different, the people and their thoughts are different and yet it is all there in those moving pictures in my head that go along with a story as it grows. The most fun part of writing for me is trying to capture all that in words. It is a challenge that never grows old. It’s fun. And to reference rielle’s point, if someone else reads it and says “Hey, I like how you told that story!” Well then, that’s just extra good stuff that brings happy satisfaction too.  |

The chance to use my vivid imagination and extend the life of a TV show that should have had at least a couple more seasons of life. That other people seem to enjoy what i put out there only adds to it and encourages me to continue. |

Wow!!! I wish I could write fanfics as good as the ones here:D I agree I love sharing my stories:D it gives me a great feeling:D if I ever write a fanfic this will be the first place I post:D as for my other stories one is almost over 70 pages long:D

Wow!!! I certainly don't worry about mine, lol. But to be more serious, its telling the story you want to tell and with the characters doing their thing [which sometimes turns out what you didn't intend...  ] that really matters. And the only way to write and then write better is to write your story, share it at least with a few people and learn from the feedback. Also we're all fanfic readers here, the voracious kind so we always want to see another writer's efforts as regards our agent-heroes. Give it a shot. Get your feet wet and then just plunge in, as it were. |

Rielle:D thanks for the wonderful advice:D I really do hope to post some fanfics here someday:D but as for the 70 page story that ones not a fanfic that ones about a car whos is trying to get revenge on humans:D but my fanfics will probably be about that long too:D I have a thing for long stories there fun to write:D Again thanks for the wonderful advice I really appreciate it:D
