Makes no sense to me at all as to why RC would sign this thing at all, even "at a later date", as the seller states. Also, I don't put much faith in these "certificates of authenticity".

YGal you make a valid point. Can't read the contract at all, either, on that site.

The only thing I could see on the bottom of the contract was Aaron Spelling's name printed there. Maybe the signature besides RM's was his.

Someone ought to send the ebay link to RC and ask him to comment on his show, to see if he remembers it. If it's genuine, could be an interesting story behind it. And if it's not genuine...

Excellent suggestion, CG. To me the cer. looks like something the computer classes at school could produce with no problem. But what do I know about those certs. of auth. I can't imagine why RC would sign a contract like that. It makes no sense.

I noticed the same seller has one of RM's cancelled checks up for sale---those ones that keep popping up on ebay frequently. I would never buy one of these. Weren't these checks stolen from RM's home when it was burglarized?

Yes, YGal, they are the stolen checks. I wouldn't buy one of them.

I saw that on ebay and I was suspicious of it the first time I saw it. RC wasn't in Mod Squad so, like the rest of you think, why would he sign a contract for a show he was never in. There was a picture, I think, someone was trying to sell that was supposed to be signed by RC, but it was very obvious that he didn't sign it.

nwheaton, according to IMDB, RM did appear with the Mod Squad, but it was a role in a MS reunion movie that aired some years after the series ended. www.imdb.com/title/tt0079800/There is an interesting coincidence however: The Wild Wild West Revisited movie aired May 9,1979, and Return of the Mod Squad aired May 18, 1979.

That is a funny coincidence. It stands to reason because RM was in Mod Squad that his signature is authentic, but I wouldn't buy it because it was probably one of the items stolen from his home. I stand in my belief the RC's signature is a fake because he wasn't in Mod Squad, and why would he sign a contract for a show he wasn't in.

Ooh, good point, the stolen merchandise! But would Ross have that at his home or would it be on file at the network? I wouldn't buy it either. Just isn't right to have something like that unless the network was selling items. And I don't believe they would...it might go into a network museum or archives or something.

Zounds! I never thought of it being of the stolen items, good thought. Maybe there are many doubters out there too, because no one's bid on it yet.
