Thank you all so much! I didn't expect anything like that and the card is just beautiful.  Husband taking me out tomorrow night because he's working tonight. Should be good fun. He's taking me to see a play called The Mousetrap - I don't know if you guys have heard of it in the United States. It's a murder mystery but with a proviso, at the end of the performance a member of the cast comes on the stage and asks the audience to keep the secret of the murderer from anyone who hasn't seen the play. It's the 60th anniversary this year and it's on tour so he's taking me to see it in a nearby city. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks again, the card is wonderful. |

I have heard of The Mousetrap. Based on an Agatha Christie story, isn't it? Or am I thinking of something else.

I don't think we've really interacted much, if at all, but I hope you have a very happy birthday, Tyche!  The play sounds like it will be fun. And that is a lovely card. Puurrr. |

Yep, it's definitely an Agatha Christie story. Just not one with Poirot or Miss Marple, completely unrelated, but I am so looking forward to it. ;D

I've seen it on both sides of the Pond. - in London (MANY years ago) and in summer stock in Connecticut with David McCallum (also many years ago). Resident theatre buff here. ;D
Longing forward to the next time I can afford to return to London!! Whenever that may be!

One last thing before I think this thread has had it's day. I know that GK Comics did a Wild Wild West series, well this morning my darling husband presented me with the very first copy. Lord knows how much it cost him - I didn't dare ask, he just smiled and said, 'I think you're mad for liking the Wild Wild West and writing fan fic about it, but I also know that you'll love this.' Then he handed me the envelope.  Absolutely stunned I opened it and stared in disbelief. I don't know if he'll get me the others or I will, but I do know that it was such a lovely gesture. The Mousetrap was good too. So all in all a lot of fun and thanks again for all your kind wishes - and I loved the card!  |
