This is a pic Rielle made and wanted it posted. It's from the Laramie episode 'A Sound of Bells,' in which the versatile Ross Martin played an Angel -- a Spanish Angel, I'm guessing. Haven't seen the episode myself, but I'm sure I'd like too!

Nice pics! I take it this character is a tough guy, eh? Artie often is pretty lighthearted, but I don't get that impression from Angel.

He's a tough guy with a tender heart. Definitely has a sense of humor. He has a VERY touching scene in there; you'll melt!

I'll melt, huh? Let's see: I watch Artie; I melt. I watch Baron Rolfe; I melt. The guy from 'The Four of Us Are Dying'... and Ted Mason with his little girl and then with his wife...
Um... where was I?

I think I must have tried to watch The Ceremony on YouTube once, but YouTube is not my friend and I don't remember beyond the opening credits. I've pretty much completely given up on watching videos online. Come to think of it, I think I must have gotten a video of Quark to work at some point, because I do recall watching Zorgon and not very long ago either. Hilarious is what I remember of it (just like the sheik Ross played on Blansky's Beauties). And he was wearing the rubbish Bad Guy beard for both roles; I just love a guy in a beard!

I have seen this episode of Laramie on Youtube... not a very good copy, but a good ep... definitely worth watching even in a poor print, mainly because Ross steals the show... BIG SURPRISE, NOT I love to see these other guest shots, because the more I watch Ross the more I see how he always seemed to have so much fun, even though it was hard work... 14+ hours a day and all that. He's always got that twinkle in his eyes that seems to me to say 'I'm having a wonderful time up here!'

I know what you mean by watching the guest shots. I love Artie, truly; but it's ROSS who captivates me. His versatility is amazing - I love character actors!!! Always have; always will. You must catch him on Stump the Stars! There a few on YouTube. In a way, that's my favorite because there is no character - just Ross. The man was INTENSE! ;D

I tried to watch Quark on YouTube a long time ago, like, when I had dial up. I got through it, but when I received the DVD this past year I was able to watch it I didn't remember a LOT of it from that viewing. However, I did remember watching it at my aunt's house. She was a fan of Quark. That scene between Ficus and Zorgon's daughter...oh my word! Joan Van Ark, at her finest? LOL!

Bee, bee, bee, bee, bee, bee, beeeeeeeeeeeee! ;D ;D ;D
For comedy, I think this is one of Ross's best - he hit that almost-but-not-quite-over-the-top bullseye dead center. Outrageous, but still (just) within the bounds of credibility.
And you could tell he was having SUCH fun. He makes me smile so!

Niecie, thanks much for posting that first pic, it was on a site about Laramie and I was actually surprised to see some of their guest stars shown, pleasantly surprised, especially with Ross' as Angel! Some days I'm just not technically able at all, although today I did manage to change my avatar... gotta love that quiet little smile of Jim's/Robert's... that yes, sometimes turns into a smirk, but not always... And diva, thanks much also for the pics from Sound of Bells, Ross makes a wonderful, if rough-hewed Angel, doesn't he? This was the only Christmas-themed ep Laramie did in four years, kinda surprising, really since they definitely went in a more family, less shoot em up theme in the third and fourth seasons... because of the same, exact kind of pressure that W3 encountered in its last couple of seasons. Sigh. I always feel like finding these uptight people and asking them if they wanted to see Westerns or not?

And diva, thanks much also for the pics from Sound of Bells, Ross makes a wonderful, if rough-hewed Angel, doesn't he? You're expecting an argument from me? Ross's character was the heart of that particular episode. Warmth, humor - not to mention sex appeal (expecially in pics 2 [when that curl hits the forehead, I'm a goner] and 3) - the man had it all! One of these days I'll get around to the rest of the Laramie eps in that season; but for now, that one simply seems to keep playing!
