I occasionally get letters soliciting funds to help fight to save the battlefield. Unfortunately, I'm not rich enough to help. But I certainly support the fight. The town itself is a tourist trap (although interesting). Certainly don't want the hallowed ground itself to be covered by Wal-marts and casinos! Too many Civil War sites have been lost already.
