I came across these and I'm not sure I've seen either one of them before. The one of both guys is similar, I think, to another I've seen but perhaps not exactly?

I think I've seen one that's very similiar to the top photo, although I don't think RC was smiling in the one I remember. Probably various shots were taken at the photo session. The one I'm thinking of was on one of the back covers of the WWW comic books published by Gold Key back in the 60's.

While Robert Conrad always looks good, I don't think that's a particularly flattering suit color and background color for him.
The lighting's not great on the second shot either (the horse comes out best!!).
But any "new" pics are welcome regardless.

That shot was probably taken during the first season, and we would not know whether Jim was wearing brown or blue! (Though I think we might have noticed those trousers and I don't seem to remember any striped pants.) But he did wear brown a time or two in the color seasons before someone in costuming decided Jim looked best in blues and greens while Artie's colors were browns and golds. I wholeheartedly agree.

I have the one of Jim in a small glossy. I rather like it because of the pose with the break-away heel boots and the derringer. Granted, it's not the best portrait of him.
He did however wear that tan/brown jacket and the striped pants in season 1 TNOT Druid's Blood. You see that outfit when he visits Professor Robey. He is not wearing the matching vest but a brocade vest with it. It's very hard the see the stripes, you have to watch the close ups carefully but it's them alright.

oh my gosh the pants are awful!!! As a vest, it's fine, but there's no saving those pants!!! Almost reminds me of old Biff in Back to the Future 2 they're that bad! At least RC could smile wearing those pants

Of course Jim (RC) is going to look FINE in anything he wears... or doesn't wear. But I do prefer him in the dark green/teal or blue. Here's a screen cap from Druid's Blood. I don't know which looks worse, the striped vest that matches the pants or the one he's wearing here! I'm glad they dropped it from the wardrobe.

okay, the pants look waaaaaaaaaaay better in b&w!!!! phew!! I agree w/ Ace on the polkadots... don't mix polkadots & stripes, even if RC can pull it off, he shouldn't have to

He probably didn't. Wardrobe did. Maybe that's why he never wore it again. I can't figure out the odd shadows on the trousers, where they are coming from.

The B&W one, not so bad. I think the vest helps save the outfit.
And the pants there are more along the lines of pinstipe - the color one makes it look like he's wearing seersucker.
Definintely bring on the blues, greens and teals (my favorite color) for RC. On the other hand, I didn't particularly like when Ross wore lavender. I found that shade too garish.
And though yellow is my second least favorite color (orange being my first), on Ross, it looks great.

I think Ross looks best in that "goldenrod" shirt, and the burgundy suit--not worn at the same time of course. ;D Both guys look good in black (although not the funereal black of the preacher in Skulls ).

Oh yeah - the goldenrod shirt. Especially with the corduroy jacket. And I have a special fondness for the burgundy - wonder why?

He probably didn't. Wardrobe did. Maybe that's why he never wore it again. I can't figure out the odd shadows on the trousers, where they are coming from. There's light coming from Jim's left, making his jacket cast the shadow on the trousers. The vest isn't great, but it's better than the pinstriped one. Funny how the darker pinstriped vest in the second color photo looks much better.
