I received this in an email and thought it was kind of cute, clever, interesting. Any and all "mistakes" are intentional according to the author. Just a fluff piece for your enjoyment.
“You look terrible.”
“Well, Jim, I did just watch you get shot down in the middle of the street. I thought you were dead.”
“You really would have missed me that much, huh?”
“I was actually thinking of all the paperwork I was gonna have to fill out. Do you realize how many reports Col. Richmond would ask for?”
“Very funny Artie. Let’s get back to the train, I could use one of your home cooked dinners and lots of sleep.”
“Oh, sure, always expecting me to patch you up, cook you dinner and write your reports for you.”
“Isn’t that what partners are for?”

“HUUUUTCH!! I was watching that!”
“You’ve probably seen it ten times. Besides tv turns your brains to mush.”
“Twice! And if that bullet didn’t turn my brains to mush tv won’t do it! You‘re just afraid I’ll trade you in for Artie, he knows how to be a real partner.”
“That’s not funny, mushbrain! And from what I just heard I’m already just like Artie. Who cooked you the Paul Muni special from your mother’s recipe? Who takes care of you when you’re hurt? And Dobey still expects you to write your own reports -without all the colorful language.”
“Any rookie can turn in a dull report. Dobey should be more appreciative of my efforts to liven them up.”
“Good morning Detective Hutchinson. Dave, how are you feeling today?”
“Hey Doctor Early. It was just a graze, I have a slight headache, it’s no big deal. Can I go home now?”
“All head injuries should be taken seriously. I would prefer to have you under observation for a full 24 hours. It’s only been 8 hours and according to your records you live alone. I think you should stay here.”
“Hutch will take care of me. Woncha Hutch?”
“Yeah, Doctor Early, we’ve taken care of each other through a number of injuries. I know just what to do.”
“That’s true! He’ll take real good care of me. He likes wakin’ me up all the time and mother henning me. Stop rollin’ your eyes Hutch.”
“Well, if you promise to bring him back here if he shows any symptoms…between him and John over there my nurses could use a break.”
“Thanks Doc!”
“Yeah, thank you Doctor Early. Uh, Starsk, you might want to get dressed first.”
“Oh, right! Hey Hutch, on the way home let’s pick up a big pizza and root beer.”
“How ‘bout I cook you the Paul Muni special?”
“Aw, that’ll be great. Hey, if you’re Artie than I must be Jim - I should get some black leather chaps.”
“Lord knows your pants can’t get any tighter…
“Hiya Roy. John, how’s the leg?”
“It’s healin’ right up. Was it really only 8 hours? It felt more like 8 days listening to the two of them.”
“He’s just jealous because Dave was getting more attention from the nurses.”
“Firemen are just as heroic as cops! We might even save more lives than them. Right Dix?”
“I just came in, I’m not sure what you’re talking about so I’ll stay out of it.”
“Did you need me, Dix?”
“No, Joe, I just came in to tell John that Kel will be here in a little while to release him.”
“That’s great! Thanks Dix!”
“You know, John, that leg will still need some care that you might not be able to do by yourself. Come in anytime and we’ll help.”
“Thanks Joe.”
“Joanne is taking the kids to her mother’s this weekend, you can come stay with me and I’ll take care of you.”
“Well thanks, Roy.”
“That’s what partners are for.”
“Maybe we can get a pizza and some rootbeer and watch that show with Jim and Artie…
