Do you like the whole story to be complete before you read it . . . or do you like it delivered in parts??
I've read so many WWW3 stories in the last 3 months I'm not sure which way I'd like them. Plus I wish I could just finish writing a story before I get a new idea for something else . . . . . think I have 6 stories going right now . . . .

6 WWW stories? Yum. I'd say I've got about that. Plus about 6 original novels going. But at least I do complete the occasional piece of writing.

Only 6 incomplete stories? I'll see that and match you with about 5 more. I make a habit of not reading incomplete stories unless the author assures me that the story IS complete and will be posted in portions. I've been burned too many times by starting to read stories that were never finished. And for me personally, there's another reason to not post partial stories. I often find as I'm writing that I need to go back and change or clarify something in the first pages. If I've already posted that first section, I'd be sunk! Of course I'm sure you can find beta readers who will look at your partially done work to give you feedback and suggestions.

This is an easy question for me to answer...I won't start reading a story until it is complete. On FanFic.net there are a number of really good WWW stories that were never completed. After getting caught up in the action it is a terrible let down to find the story was not finished!

There was that guy 2-3 years ago who had, I believe, three major stories going at once. I corresponded with him once to ask if he was sure he could get them all finished, and he assured me they would be. And I think he posted one more chapter on one story after that.
Now who knows what happened, but they looked to be very entertaining stories!

Plus I wish I could just finish writing a story before I get a new idea for something else . . . . . think I have 6 stories going right now . . . . Because I write at some length, never having caught the knack of the short story, I'm probably more willing to start reading someone's unfinished work as it goes. BUT, that being said, I'm not going to post an incomplete story [unless its a Round Robin in which I have numerous, gifted collaborators] and that's largely for the reason CalGal noted, I might trip myself up with changes the characters take me on, and then be stuck trying to explain how I and those characters got from A to L, instead of A to B. a beta reader or readers is a fine thing to have, they are usually really terrifically helpful and amazingly patient ... with my stories they need to be! My own " Well of Fire" would never have been completed without our friend Sambev's great assistance and huge patience, for example.
