It may seem silly to start a thread to ask one or two questions. But I'm working on several writing projects and I need some assistance.
I know it seems lazy to ask instead of pulling the DVD, but I'm asking anyhow, cause I have a feeling some one of our experts here will have this info at the tip of their fingers... so to speak.
In his first ep, Loveless says his family once owned California, through a land grant from the King of Spain. And while I think 'the good doctor' may have been exaggerating, history says land grants of many sizes were distributed by various Spanish kings, and some by French kings, when Maximillan was 'Emperor' of Mexico in the 1850s.
my questions here are two:
1) Does Miguelito say it was his grandmother who owned that land, or his great grandmother?
2) what was her name? I've watched the ep multiple times and Michael rolls one of those gorgeous Spanish names off his tongue with great ease, but I don't have captions and I can't quite catch it. [yes, the ears are going along with the rest of me as I age LOL].
So your help would be greatly appreciated, as always. And it will be repaid as it were, as this will help me build the 'biography' I have in mind for Loveless, similar to the ones I posted recently for Artie and Jim.
thanks much
Rielle

Well I'm no expert and my DVDs are packed away upstairs right now but...
As near as I can recall, Loveless said it was his grandmother and I don't think he said her name. I know he rattled off his own name which was much longer than just Miguelito Quixote Loveless.
I, too, am sure someone else will have a more definitive answer.
