Thank you Paradox Not my absolute favorite, but I think Artie as the Italian Baritone is sooooo funny ;D I love the accent and the small musical bit and getting close to Bestsy, especially after they are blown up

What about the clown disguise? I hate clowns but Artie makes the darn cutest clown ever! He plays a bit bashful, juggles exploding balls, rescueshis partner, ends up in a cage with two women and in the end releases them and he goes off (still in the clown outfit) with one on each arm Adorable

They give me the creeps. I wonder why that is?

Seems as though a lot of people dislike or are even afraid of clowns. I've never liked them either. Maybe we were all frightened by clowns as infants. But Artie is indeed a cute one.

I was dubious about it really being Artemus. I have never been able to get past that and really don't find him adorable as that clown. I never watch that ep. Haven't seen it in a looooong time. I DO like him in the clown costume, but the make up, no. I am going to have to watch that ep again soon though.

I agree; the outfit isn't too bad, but please, not the makeup!
For my part, my mom dressed me as a clown for Halloween once when I was a kid, and my whole face broke out from the makeup. I'm 50 and I still won't wear makeup...

The ending is soooo cute though...trapped in the cage and Artie opens the lock with one of the girl's hair pins. Watch it for that (and Jim in the scrumptious circus outfit).

When I was a kid, I really did not like or appreciate the Artie disquises. I always wanted him to be himself. (Maybe that's why I'm one of those who don't like clowns) But as an adult I can really appreciate the artistry and fun of his many roles. A few of my favorites are the Old Timer in Montezuma's Hordes, Jacque Beaumont in Firebrand and the lovely Indian Maiden in Green Arrow. That one always amazes me...the transformation of his face to girl-like is astounding. That one, within such deadly circumstances, makes me chuckle more than any clown ever could. ;D

There are better ways than dissing Artie Ma'am ;D You know my ultimate favorite but I do like Jacque Beaumont I thought he did an outstanding job with that one.

As long as we don't... dare I say the word... list them? Why? I'm also a member of the Dislikes Clowns club. And as a kid I thought the disguises were fun, but I wanted to see more of Artie as himself! I think I appreciate them more now, because I have a clue what goes into doing it.

I don't suppose there's any chance of a 'Wanderer' being let in on the joke she missed while absent?

As long as we don't... dare I say the word... list them? CG I'm SHOCKED at you use of the L word is expressly forbidden here now you're going to have to be punished....I think a suitable punisment is for you to write us all a nice LONG story ;D

I don't suppose there's any chance of a 'Wanderer' being let in on the joke she missed while absent? Some appropriate words to use in place of the L word would be account, compilation, catalogue, inventory, tally...words of that sort.

No dissing intended. (I really don't like painted clowns, never did. I guess I didn't like people lurking behind false faces, even nice ones.) And as a young child I didn't understand the importance of the Artie disguises. I just always liked Artie better as his real, handsome, articulate, unhidden self back then. But now I love the characters he created.

I don't suppose there's any chance of a 'Wanderer' being let in on the joke she missed while absent? Once upon a time there was a beautiful well kept garden. There was much variety and it was enjoyed by many. Then one day a pretty flower popped up in the middle of it. It was allowed to grow unhindered. Then it turned into a noxious weed that took over the beautiful garden. It became known as the L.
