I'm brand new here and want to thank the Admins for this great looking forum. I've been lurking for a few days but wanted to say hi, now
I live in Cincinnati, my favorite city, except for San Francisco that I was lucky enough to live across the bay from for a few years. I've been watching The Wild, Wild West since I was a kid, a friend got me hooked with the VHS tapes he had. Then I got hooked on him, too... He's still my best friend and my guy... named Sam, and to MY mind he looks a little bit like Robert Sean Leonard, but Sam says I'm kinda sorta biased! LOL While learning to love The Wild, Wild West I first fell for Artie and then for Jim... now I love them both!!! Is that 'kosher'?
oh, one other thing that sounds kinda silly, but my oldest brother is now a grandfather three times over and my oldest niece, named Catherine was born just this past year on March 22cnd. So I guess there's a very thin Wild, Wild West connection. Catherine or Cate is a very pretty child, but typically Midwestern, bright blonde hair and big blue-grey eyes, and what a twinkle she's got in those eyes. She has a cousin over in Korea named Nio and another cousin living near Philadelphia named Grace, all of them beautiful, healthy babies.
So that's my self-introduction

Hi there and welcome! It sounds like you have a very nice family. Loving both Arte and Jim is a very good thing. I lean more towards Jim, but you can't have that glorious friendship without both of them!

Hi Jessy. Welcome aboard. It's perfectly all right to love both guys. I do, though I favor Jim.

Welcome. Hope you have fun with this group. Whomever you prefer - Artie, Jim, or both - is fine. However, an ardent Artie advocate here! I'm rather fond of Miguelito as well.

thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes. I'm glad to be here.
And another thanks especially to CaliforniaGal, for your screencaps in the 'other characters' thread. Borrowing one of them, I was able to make an avatar with my third favorite WWW character, Colonel Richmond. Actually I guess he's tied for third place with President Grant, and sometimes, although it sounds an odd collection, with Miguelito. LOL

I haven't managed to include him in any of my stories yet, but I always try to get in a few mentions of him, at least.

A nice welcome from a fellow midwesterner, who lives in Illinois to our newest member from Cincinatti!
I had an Aunt who lived up in Pickerington during the final years of her life.
Great avatar of Colonel Richmond!! Went for a unique Avatar just like I did.

My grandparents lived for decades in North Avondale in Cincinnati, and only moved out when grandmother couldn't deal with their old barn of a house anymore. She raised ten children there and cared for a whole passel of grandkids too, hosting weekend dinners [She was a Southern lady who served 'dinner' promptly at noon] for her children, their spouses and the grandkids, sometimes as many as 40 people there at one time.

For many years, I listened to a tradional pop/Rock and Roll oldies station 1530 WSAI, before they changed to a talk format nine years ago. .
