I'm plotting a list of all the most appropriate WWW episodes to watch next month, along with Halloweenish episodes of other shows. I came up with quite a long list for WWW. Can anyone think of more?
- Druid's Blood - Eccentrics - Big Blast - Returning Dead - Poisonous Posey (because of that stuff in the morgue) - Ready-Made Corpse - Man-Eating House - Skulls - Lord of Limbo - Tottering Tontine - Feathered Fury - Colonel's Ghost - Wolf - Dr. Loveless Died - Death Masks - Undead - Simian Terror - Kraken - Diva
Season 2 certainly has the bulk of it, which I expected. Ah, my favorite season.

I haven't seen The Sedgewick Curse, actually, but from what I know of it it does sound like a very creepy one.
And Murderous Spring is a good one! I wonder if Sudden Plague would also work. It was pretty creepy for all of those people to freeze in place.

Yeah, I was thinking of Puppeteer. Glowing Corpse might work too!
Of course, the entire Kolchak: The Night Stalker series (and the two pre-series movies) are picture-perfect for Halloween, haha. And I have several Perry Mason episodes in mind, a Daniel Boone episode, and two or three Monkees episodes. I'd definitely be interested in hearing other recommendations if you come up with any!

Another non-WWW offering would be Experiment In Terror. You may never look at Artie the same way again!

My favorite ghost movie is The Uninvited (1946) with Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey, and Gale Russell. There are no bulging walls, no gory slash scenes. Barely any CGI at all. But every time I watch it, I get chills, even knowing what is coming. It's "dated" of course, having been made in the 1940s. But that doesn't ruin its enjoyability. Unfortunately it's not out on DVD. (Who knows why!) I have a VHS tape of it, and it occasionally appears on TCM. Check out the reviews at IMDB and you'll see a lot of folks agree with me. www.imdb.com/title/tt0037415/

My favorite ghost movie isn't scary at all. It's beautiful, poignant and romantic.
The original "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" with Rex Harrison and Gene Tierney. This one IS out on DVD.

In season 4 Sedgewick Curse, Sabatini Death and Bleak Island are the creepiest which would be perfect for Halloween. I watch those pretty much every year for my favorite Haunting Holiday!!

I've seen The Uninvited! I don't find it as scary as some people say, but I enjoyed it a lot.
And I also like The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, both the movie and the TV series. The TV show's ongoing adventures are fun and cute, and the show usually seems to be a "comedy with heart" instead of just random silliness.
Bleak Island! That's another episode I haven't seen yet. I shall definitely have a look.

For chuckles instead of chills, I present the suggestion of The Addams Family.
Actually, I could kind of see Ross in the Gomez role. Different from the wonderful John Astin, of course; but I think he would have done a really fun take as well. (There wasn't a lot that man couldn't have played!)

I like The Munsters better than The Addams Family, but I've meant to watch more of Addams, so thank you for the suggestion! I think at least some of the episodes were put up by the copyright holder on YouTube ... unless you have to pay to watch them. Hmm. And ha, yes, I can picture Ross playing Gomez too. That would have been a trip!

I thought The Munsters was the best too. But Addams Family was cool too. Those should be aired on TV in October for Halloween month!!

Both were good in their own approaches. Addams Family played more for farce and Munsters was more slapstick in nature.
But I always liked Fred Gwynne. Met him a few times - very sweet (and VERY tall). Would you believe the first time I saw him (live) was in a musical with Stephen Collins, Marybeth Hurt and...Meatloaf!!!!

Wow, that's awesome that you met Fred Gwynne! He seemed like a sweet person from what I read about him. And LOL, what a place to first see him. What kind of musical was that?

An exceeding weird and surreal off-Broadway musical about the Vietnam War. Mary Beth Hurt played a Viet Cong man who kept getting killed and coming back to life! Like I said, weird!

Zimmerman: I was just going to find the Sudden Plague thread and read it, since I watched it again. One of my favorite season 1 episodes! Thanks! Oh, Christmas is my favorite too. Halloween is only second favorite. Nydiva: LOL. Wow. What a show.
