I think we did this once a long time ago on the other board. Let's see your thoughts here. I list them pretty much in the order of the frequency with which I watch them!
1. Murderous Spring 2. Surreal McCoy 3. Green Terror 4. Bogus Bandits 5. Loveless Died 6. Wizard Shook the Earth 7. Raven 8. Whirring Death 9. Terror Stalked the Town 10. Miguelito’s Revenge

of course we don't completely agree and we needn't. This would be the order I'd rank Michael's eps:
Murderous Spring [if there was a ranking higher than first, I'd give it] Surreal McCoy Wizard Shook the Earth Raven Terror Stalked the Town Bogus Bandits Whirring Death Green Terror Loveless Died Miguelito's Revenge

For the most part, it's like choosing a favorite child for me. Michael Dunn was so brilliant, there are things I like in every episode. Even Miguelito's Revenge!
Not sure I can really place them in order. It changes with every viewing.
But my overall favorite is Raven. Green Terror and Murderous Spring are close seconds.

Way tough choice but I'll think about it while I'm off doing other things now.

My brain pretty much breaks where Raven is concerned. I refuse to believe it really happened. I tend to insist on thinking it was someone's nightmare (probably Arte's). And I think there's still two Loveless episodes I haven't seen, Miguelito's Revenge and one of the B&W episodes. (Yes, I'm missing seasons 1 and 4 and have only seen some of the assorted Netflix discs for them. Waiting for the prices to get nice and low. Amazon has them for pretty good, or they did a couple of days ago. I need to snag at least one of them right away, if I can.) But I'd still like to play! I'll rank the eight I have seen. 1. Green Terror 2. Surreal McCoy 3. Murderous Spring 4. Wizard Shook the Earth 5. Dr. Loveless Died 6. Bogus Bandits 7. Whirring Death (my memory of it is so fuzzy, I'm having it switch places with Bandits) 8. Raven

I'm still not sure-- these could slightly change but for now I'd say---
1. Murderous Spring 2. Wizard Shook the Earth 3. Whirring Death 4. Loveless Died 5. Surreal McCoy 6. Bogus Bandits 7. Raven 8. Terror Stalked the Town 9. Green Terror
10. Miguelito's Revenge
Haha--I want to drop Miguelito's Revenge even lower but then you won't even be able to see it. ;D

Okay, here is my ranking of the Loveless episodes: 1. Green Terror 2. Whirrring Death 3. Loveless Died 4. Raven 5. Terror Stalked The Town 6. Bogus Bandits 7. Surreal McCoy 8. Murderous Spring (Sorry, fellow WWW fans) 9. Wizard Shook The Earth 10. Miguelitos Revenge (Jeremy Pike was great in this episode, but it would have been better if Artie was in it ;D). Great character who lit up the screen every time he appeared on WWW .

I really want to rate Terror Stalked the Town and Raven higher, but this is just how I feel today. My top 9 are all favorites and all rate an 8 to 10, but just was tough putting them in a perfect order. My top 3 stay as they are though. They kinda all tie for 1st place for me, really.

The order of these episodes based on the Dr. Loveless character solely, is different from how I would rate them as over all episodes and I might totally change my mind again but here goes for now:
1.)Bogus Bandits (The interpersonal feelings between him and West were so clearly and so eloquently stated and I love the scene where he quotes from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar to bid West 'Farewell'.) 2.) Terror Stalks the Town 3.) Wizard Shook the Earth 4.) Murderous Spring 5.) Whirring Death 6.) Green Terror 7.) Surreal McCoy (Now don't throw cabbages at me for not rating this higher. It is the only Dr. L. episode where he is dependent on someone else as a partner. I thought this weakened his character and the rancher was not a very impressive partner. But the meta-physical aspect of his talents was terrific!! Love this episode over all.) 8.) Raven 9.) Miguelito's Revenge (I love the use of the nursery rhyme as his recipe for revenge but it still leaves me wanting a richer performance. Also loved his steam-driven man, he always had something different to confound the agents.) 10.) Dr Loveless Died

The steam-powered robot man was a terrific part of Miguelito's Revenge and the only thing that saved the show in that episode! That part I liked very much!!!!

I think my list coincides with Dieter's (at least for now :-)).
The first 5 are really very close for me - 1. Murderous Spring 2. Wizard Shook the Earth 3. Whirring Death 4. Loveless Died 5. Surreal McCoy I'd rate them all very highly.
The next 4, eh- I have to admit I don't watch them often. They are way down on my list (although not as far down as TNOT Flying Pie Plate)
As for the last - I think that Miguelitos's Revenge is one of those episodes that is best forgotten (unless there is REALLY nothing better to do and there is still laundry to be folded. And it is still above Flying Pie Plate!)

Yeah, Dieter, but I think I like Zachariah Skull's version of steam-powered people better. Still controlled by a keyboard, but the lines the steam ran through were so much thinner.

I am not a huge fan of Miguelito Loveless, but here is my list in order of most frequently watched to least. More than Loveless, my order is probably based on Jim and Artie (or Jeremy) and the story line.
1/2. Murderous Spring/Terror Stalked the Town (I have a hard time choosing a favorite between these two) 3. Surreal McCoy (love the concept) 4. Whirring Death 5. Raven (amazing special effects... for the time) 6. Miguelito’s Revenge (I like Jeremy in this episode, the ending is the only part I find weak) 7. Loveless Died 8. Bogus Bandits (Can't stand Belladonna) 9. Wizard Shook the Earth (silly and our heroes fail utterly in protecting the professor) 10. Green Terror

Raven was definitely a great episode, but how did the clothes they were wearing grow too when they became normal again?

Raven was definitely a great episode, but how did the clothes they were wearing grow too when they became normal again? Maybe because the censors wouldn't allow them to appear in the nude! Come to think of it, Antoinette made a miniature suit for Jim when he shrank. So WHO put it on him, hmmmm?

I am not a huge fan of Miguelito Loveless That's okay; I more than make up for anyone who doesn't dote on the dear Doctor. I LOVE MIGUELITO! There - I said it and I'm glad! Still love Artie best, though! ;D And Jim is pretty nice to have around. ;D

Did you notice in Raven they kinda messed up when Jim said "3 times you've tried and 3 times you failed" after already 4 episodes with Dr. Loveless in Season 1. That didn't make sense to me at all.

I wonder if they didn't count the Wizard Shook the Earth episode where everyone meets Loveless for the first time. He didn't develop his obsession with killing West until after that first time when West foiled his plans.

That sounds logical. And it would mean they actually thought of continuity! Oh happy day.
I saw the other two now, so I'll do my list over.
... And here's one more edit, as I re-watched (did I re-watch?) The Whirring Death. And I honestly still can't say whether I saw it before or not. It's driving me nuts. I recognize the part where Arte sees Loveless running off, and various other bits seem familiar, but mostly I am drawing a blank. But in any case, oh my gosh, what a fun episode! It more than made up for me not caring for The Terror That Stalked the Town. And I see why it's thought of as the Christmas episode.
1. Whirring Death 2. Surreal McCoy 3. Green Terror 4. Murderous Spring 5. Wizard Shook the Earth 6. Dr. Loveless Died 7. Bogus Bandits 8. Miguelito's Revenge (I wonder if I'm the only one who actually likes this episode. I was preparing myself for something terrible, but I loved it! And I agree with Double Take about Jeremy. He was very good in the episode.) 9. Terror Stalked the Town (two James Wests was lovely to see, but the episode just didn't have enough of the wonderful camaraderie between Jim and Arte. And Arte is completely absent for so much of the episode! And that trick Jim pulled in the epilogue seemed so OOC and mean. Poor Arte.) 10. Raven

Ladybug, since Raven is at the bottom of your list while it's at the top of mine, I'm curious why you gave it that ranking.
I'm NOT criticizing your list nor trying to change your mind - just would like to know.
My reasons for liking it (with which you in no way need agree) are:
- Artie gets to play the hero by tossing Jim that weapon - that tepee in the house tickles me to no end - I LIKE the far-fetched shrinking premise (holes and all) - they used a New York actress as an Indian princess - there's a very touching moment between Miguelito and Antoinette just as they finish their song - the look on Artie's face when he see the shrunken Jim - and Artie has a line that goes "it's a weakness of mine, so sue me" - Ross did a musical in the 50's and one of his numbers was a song called "Sue Me" . No idea if that line was purposely a nod, but I like to think of it as such.

I explained earlier in the thread why I don't care for it, but I suppose it was pretty vague. Basically, I don't like the shrinking premise! I don't care for anything where the characters' bodies are altered in freaky ways (shrinking, growth, aging, de-aging, etc.). It weirds me out too much.

That's fine and perfectly valid. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity. I tend to get creeped out by giant insects myself! Or insects period!

I also thought it moved kind of slow until Jim shrank, but that's so minor I would have forgiven it all if not for being so disturbed by the rest. There were some good things in it; the anachronism of Loveless and Antoinette singing Sloop John B was pretty awesome! And I loved seeing a kitty.
Giant insects are very bad things. Especially when they're in the house! Eeek.
