Working on a story and I'm trying to recall how many times JW tries/ thinks he has/ or pretends he has killed AG?
I have: TNOF Big Blast ( thinks he has) TNOF Skulls (pretends he has) and I know there are few others. Anyone know? All help is appreciated.
And while I'm at it, is there an episode where AG kills JW? I'm thinking: no.

Don't forget Death Masks where Artie momentarily believes he has killed Jim.
As for Jim killing Artie, are you sure you mean Big Blast? That's the one where it appears Jim has been blown up with some government officials. I can't think of where in that one Jim thinks he has killed Artie.
In Howling Light, the brainwashed Artie tries to strangle Jim.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Good gracious, I don't know! Only one of my top 3 episodes! And I even had my quota of coffee this morning.

And then there's the episode where Artie is in disguise as the old man who Jim shoots just before he's to be hung. Can't think of the name of that one. BTW; I've never seen Howling Light.

That one is Legion of Death.
Do you not have the season 1 DVDs?

I received season three as a gift and I hesitant to buy the full series as I'll duplicate season 3. ( My father was Scottish and you never waste $). I suppose I could just try to buy the remaining seasons seperately. Perhaps I'll look into that. In the meantime, I've been getting them from Netflix. I will admit I'm always a little jealous of all the folks who have the full seasons.

Well... I have all 4 individual seasons, plus the boxed set of all 4 seasons and the movies. I look at them as a backup. I think I'm not the only one who did this.

Well, your last note did it for me.... I ordered the box set of the four seasons. I feel so proud and complete!

Congratulations, Diddlepie!
I bought the box set as a back-up and for the movies. I have forced myself to watch the first movie, but not the second one. They are quite painful, but as a WWW fan I felt I needed to own them.

I'm very curious about those movies, but a lot less so after hearing that Jim and Arte were supposed to have had a falling out before the first one. After all they've been through together, that just seems way too depressing!

I haven't watched the movies either since getting them. I remember watching them back when they were shown on the air and I suspect I liked them simply because it got Jim and Artie back together. And in the 70s and 80s, spoofs were very big. But these days I think I have a different view of the series as a whole, liking it even better than I did when younger. Thus I don't want to see them messing it up!

I watched the 2 movies recently as another board member was nice enough to send them to me. Of course that was all before my momentous decision to break down and buy the series.
The movies are disappointing for sure. RM doesn't look good, not even that he aged, but he just doesn't look well. Other things I've seen him in filmed at the same time, he looks much better. It bothered me as it was a reminder that he didn't live a whole lot beyond the movies. RC looks older but terrific- he still looks terrific even now.
The comradery the guys had in the original show does come through in the movies so that's kind of fun, but the story line is disappointing. They're worth watching for curiosity but that's about it.

You know, Diddlepie, I'm part Scottish, and I bought all four seasons and then the box set (also for the movies). So glad you bought it, and probably for a lot less money than I spent. I try to watch the movies once in a while, but I can't get through them. I agree that Ross doesn't look well in them, and I can't figure out why, since he looks so darn good in Hawaii 5-0, filmed within a year or so of the movies, if not the same year as at least one.

If anyone is still following this thread, JW has 4- count then 4- attempts on AG's life! Now that I have my complete set of the WWW, I watched "TNO The Fatal Trap". JW goes undercover as .. someone Slade, and AG shows up as Mohave Mike, old prospector type, who get shot by Slade for being a traitor.

Oh, forgot about poor Mike. If we throw in Pistoleros, Artie sure got killed a lot!

...but at least in Pistoleros, it wasn't Jim who shot him! Boy, if I just counted how many times Artie gets killed, well adding Pistoleros, that brings us to 5.
I think there's still a few others though.

Have we mentioned Limbo? It wasn't actually Artie, but it sure looked like him!

Well now I'll have to march over to my complete set of episodes (Did I mention I have a complete set of episodes?) and look up "Limbo". I'm not remembering that one.

That's great to read all of you bought each separate season and then the complete box set on DVD. I did the same but before that I bought all the VHS tapes from CBS and Columbia House too. Then the 15 Columbia House DVD's they started before they quit.
I just had to collect everything as it kept on coming!! Haha.
Would be nice it they put it out on the better quality Blu-ray discs now too like a lot of shows are doing. I'd get those too!!
But more extra's please!!!

I bought each of the seasons as it came out on DVD. And I'm soooo happy to have them. But I haven't been able to justify the whole set ... even though from what I remember I liked the movies... kinda sorta. kinda.
Maybe the birthday elf will visit me with the set sometime. When I see them going for over $60-70-80 I just haven't been able to go there.
And I'm not that tight with money. I'm just trying to not break what resembles a budget. Silly me!

Gosh I should have remembered that episode. I like it too. I think Ricardo M. is terrific; bizzare enough to be scarey, but still with gentile manners and you feel empathy for him.
And the whole fouth dimension thing adds the unnatural/ sci-fi theme, a hallmark of WWW. I have a hard time connecting the episode names with the stories. Good thing there isn't a quiz coming up.

BTW: Amazon has the complete set for a few pennies over $60. with free shipping for anyone who still feels themselves "incomplete."
I don't mean to throw people into exhaustive soul searching, but just thought I'd pass it on. It's certainly cheaper than buying the season individually if someone is looking to complete the series (like me).

Don't worry. Some of us are compulsive, some not. When I was a big fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World, I taped episodes every time they were on, first run, rerun, when they were syndicated on TNT... ended up with boxes of tapes. Then I bought the DVDs when they came out.

I also bought the season sets as they came out and never got the box set. I have no desire to see the movies again! It just occurred to me... look out, I'm getting wildly tangential now... if they could cast Paul Williams as the heir to Loveless, they could have cast Danny DeVito, who would have done a far, far better job.

Ah, but Williams had worked with someone who had say-so, I think...or maybe Devito was too busy with Taxi at the time? (I can't remember the timeline).
