Let me say that I am loving Paul Sieber now, myself. Get. In. Line. Boy is Paul gonna love it when he reads this! And I'm pretty sure he will.

All he has to do is read, well, really only a small sampling of what goes on here to know -- this bunch is weird in the extreme...
And, yes, I'm raising my hand and admitting to major weirdness on my part.

Ok, as a looooong time Gilbert & Sullivan aficionada, my antennae went up on the phrase 'patter song' -- please, what patter song? *salivating* Pirates of Penzance is in my top 3 musical favorites. Ross's song was part way between a patter song and a character song from a show called Shinbone Alley. Circa 1957. The song is "I Gotta Be" and done very fast in a VERY Noo Yawk accent.

LOVE Penzance, but maybe a tad more partial to Mikado. Having said that, my oldest son (he of the Portal-esque stilts) likes to sing the first verse of 'The Modern Major General' -- I am such a bad influence on my kids, ¿verdad? (Oh, and Martyn Green's book is on my dresser.)

Okay. The final chapter (darn - wish I had more). Day 3 (Sunday) First thought upon awakening: don’t wanna leave, don’t wanna leave; don’t wanna leave! But at least we had part of the day to make ourselves useful and watch some more filming. Breakfast back at the Hot Biscuit with the gang. Felt so good to feel like part of the gang! Again, THE most warm, welcoming, solicitous, friendly bunch ever. (Okay, maybe it’s a tie with “my guys” from the revival cast of 1776 - but that’s saying a LOT!) James was showing off his “steampunk” gun (I had to look up the term when I first heard of it). He even let me (and Snish) hold it. We were honored - and VERY careful not to drop it! And...well, Snish knows, but she won’t tell either - James disclosed the premise for the NEXT episode. All I can say is “yeeeeeep”! The next one is gonna be even better - IF that’s possible! I would have asked “When’s the next shoot?”, right then and there but I was afraid I’d get shot for that question! LOL! No costume (or corset) for me today. Hooray. Our location shoot (get me, “our” shoot!) was further away - happily in the direction Snish and I needed for when we set out homewards. We drove out to Lake George and to Dr. Morbid’s Haunted House. VERY fun, cool, and a complete maze! Honestly, it seemed endless. Every guy was doing the mwaaahahahaha bit! Fortunately, Emlee was wearing a white jacket so we followed her back and forth in the dark. Otherwise we still might be in there! We were helping carry in costumes and miscellaneous necessities, when Paul handed me his cozzies to bring in - including, sigh, THE burgundy one. But once Emlee was in makeup and costume, we were on our own and literally wandering around listening for voices to locate the company. Spoooooky!! I have to commend the heroics of Emlee. She was sick. Stopped up nose, blazing throat, sneezing, coughing sick. You’d never know it once they called action. How she held herself together and still plugged onwards deserves a medal of special merit. Especially since it was FREEZING in the Haunted House. There is one other actor I’d like to mention, Jonathon Schall. I don’t want to disclose his character (too much of a spoiler). Let’s just say that he was intense and right on the money. Let me now give you one more example of just how darn NICE these people are. Both Patty and CW asked lil’ ole US to autograph a copy of their scripts. I mean, really? Talk about instant acceptance. I LOVE these people. ;D As usual, James and Paul were as much fun OFF camera as they were on. It’s just too tempting to snap away when they’re in costume. Lots of fun with group shots - including one of James cuddling this Artie’s Angel so close I told him he might get me thrown out of the group. But I wasn’t moving! Mamma didn’t raise no fool! It was a real treat to stand by the side and watch (and take pictures) as “Artie” got into disguise; Paul was even humming The WWW theme as he “created“ the character! It was even more astonishing to watch him “go” into the character. Makeup finished, he backed slightly away from the mirror. His chin came forward and down, and his shoulders hunched upwards. His eyes squinted, and from that point on he spoke to us IN his character’s accent. Hilarious and almost eerie at the same time. I honestly think Ross would have approved. Then we had an interesting (whisper, whisper, giggle) discussion with Paul about something fun that may be revealed in due time. But remember ladies, Snish and I saw him FIRST!!!! Well, it turns out we saw both the teaser (which we’re in) and the tag. Not a lot in between. After making a pizza run for the company and wolfing down a slice, it was time for us to go. Unfortunately we didn‘t get to see the “Artie in disguise“ scene Major bummer. But Snish wanted to at least get halfway home before it turned dark and I can‘t blame her. So after being hugged by practically everyone in the building (and guess which two guys got the special loooooong ones), our adventure had ended. And I fervently hope there’s a “to be continued” in the near future.

Quoting stuff from this board?! Like what, pray tell?! Well, Patty certainly knew about the "dead body" posts and everyone was familiar with the terms "Artie's Angels" and "Jim's Jewels". They all like how positive and enthusiastic everyone has been in their response to the photos. You can bet this forum is required reading - once they have a moment to breathe. It's going to be a terribly hectic week trying to wrap everything up on schedule, but I'm sure we'll hear from them again as soon as they're able. They like us, they really like us!

I'm a huge theatre buff and Karen is still active in community theatre. We managed. And I'm quite game for more in the future. Heck, it was such a blast, even helping out behind the scenes is rewarding enough. I can't wait either. Having been there makes the anticipation even worse!!

Hi Tony Delighted to hear from you. I'm one of those "Angels" - the hefty redhead. I'll go back and fix Riva's name in my post. It was a quick intro and I only got the first name, which I obviously misheard. And I thoroughly agree that she's a makeup genius (and a doll). She'd have to be to make me look halfway decent! All you guys were amazing and I'm just sorry there wasn't more time to get to know everyone. Good luck with the rest of the shoot; wish I were back up there with you all. Next time, I'll bring batches of my homemade cookies!

*laughing* How can Ace be making off with my computer when I'm sitting right here, wearing my wrists out typing on it? Huh?
She must have snagged one of the budding Time Lord's freaky devices. You'd think she'd learn! She did that before and wound up on the wrong side of singularity...
See, the combination of Time Lord DNA and innate Gordon family inventiveness -- uh-uh, hoapili, you are digging yourself a deep, deep, very deep hole there. You don't wanna mess with the booby traps in this house! You thought the Wanderer was full of booby traps!
Now... the budding Time Lord is fixing me a flounder filet -- and then to the rest of the typing...

Hey, I woulda helped you, hoaloha -- you didn't give me time!
Let's see what happens if I open the budding Time Lord's sonic umbrella...
Ok, and you can borrow the oldest son's Portal stilts -- wonder does he have a Portal gun too?
