okay here are my own answers to the questions posted about Robert, and thanks again to everyone who's taken part and who may still take part...
Which of Robert's many, many roles is your favorite?
This is a tie, James West and Pasquinel will just have to duke it out... LOL now there's a scene to imagine!
Which is your least favorite?
Paul Ryan/DA - a great disservice to Robert's talents imo. But I'm not a fan of Jack Webb's shows, other than the original Dragnet.
Which of his roles even the ones where you might not like the character, do you think he did his best work in?
Definitely his turn on Columbo, a nasty guy for sure... but a great job of acting.
How many languages can Robert speak? What are they?
He could speak and sing in Spanish before Wild Wild West aired. And I know he learned at least some French [the Quebec dialect] in order to portray Pasquinel in Centennial.
What did he do before he became an actor? He worked on the docks in Chicago, and worked as a milkman when first married.
What roles do you wish Robert had portrayed? put it another way: Which characters or roles do you think he would have really shone at?
Actually some of the characters who would show up opposite the roles I've 'assigned' to Ross... for example, the narsty young swordsman in Prisoner of Zenda... earlier played by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr, and then James Mason, one of the bad guys in Monte Cristo, one of the swordsmen, or even 'Christian' in Cyrano, AND [knowing he played the lead role in the Fantastiks] I'd also give Robert some musicals Billy Bigelow, in Carousel for example, maybe the young pilot in South Pacific... the male lead in Brigadoon... the pater familias in Sound of Music? that sort of thing.
Do you think there were roles that wouldn't have suited his range of talents? Which ones are those?
all due respect and admiration, I don't think Shakespeare would be an ideal choice, BUT I haven't seen Robert attempt that... so I'm not going to make that absolute.
What [to be entirely superficial and fan-girlish] do you think are Robert's best features?
His eyes. He acts with them. He says a million things with them. He takes in the whole world around him with them. And when he gets that slight, hovering, quiet little smile in those eyes... [no, not the smirk, the quiet little almost-smile]... fuhgeddaboutit!
and then there is his whole frame, yes, very superficial, very girlish! Very fun, and very, very nice to look at No apologies, gents, I am a 'girl' after all and... I think I'll just leave it at that, LOL
and third on this side of the aisle ... Robert shows the exact same skill and enjoyment of his work that I mentioned with Ross' performances. To me the sign of a gifted, committed, involved and generous actor is that spark in their eyes that says to the audience... what a great game we're playing! Did you see that last stunt? Did you hear that last line? Can you guess what's coming! - Robert does that. And we're in the game with him.
What role would you/do you dream of playing opposite Robert? Torry Cooper! LOL [see the rpg]
Did you like his singing, when we got to hear it? LOL very much so. Have you written fanfiction in which one of Robert's characters takes part? Which fandom? Where can we read it?
I have written Wild Wild West fanfiction, and its archived at The Wonderful World of Makebelieve, fanfiction.net and may still be archived on Kristen's forum. feedback always very welcome!
I've also written 'biographies' of Jim and of Artie that are posted here. But they're both 4 years old now and may take some revising... just because my own idea of the characters and background has shifted with time.

Favorite would be James T. West Least favorite? I don't have a least favorite I liked them all. What was his best work? Best stunt work would be as James West and from then on he had different type of work that he was best at, at different periods of time. Like one being a pilot, yeah!! How cool is that? Oh and he was a a good martial artist but mainly a boxer, he did good at that. I think he spoke Spanish besides English. Before he was an actor he did a lot of jobs and one of them was singing. I would have liked to see RC as Indiana Jones, Borne Identity if it was made in the 60's. Mission Impossible movies as 30 something. Oh he would have been awesome in the Matrix movies!! As Neo! Yeah I could see RC doing that shiit! ;D Which characters or roles do you think he would have really shone at? RC really shines at mystery, adventure, high action, political, espionage. Believe it or not I think he would do good in comedy. ;D I think RC would be suited for most anything if he worked at any and all of the different roles and yes I could see him in a musical so I'd have to stay positive on this question. Well I don't think he would be good dancing as a ballerina boy. He has the talent and coordination to dance in any style but I wouldn't like to see him in tights. RC best features? Oh man you're asking me that questions? Ok I like his blue eyes and he is a funny guy too. He's very talented, I'm not going to talk about his bod. I don't dream of RC, I dream of babes. But it would be nice to be his partner in a spy movie like a James Bond movie type, and I'd be his secret back up partner. With all the cool gadgets. Sure I enjoyed his singing thought he was good. hah ha I don't write fan fiction. I'm not hung up fanatic enough to write fanfic. I can think of better things to do besides write about the Wild Wild West. Like me in the Wild Wild West kicking ass and getting the babes like Jame T. West. ;D I'm my own fan of myself which would be better because it would be original stories not using someone elses made up characters. so I'd use myself as a template and my Western experiences. Then maybe a little bit of steam punk science fiction mixed in with the wild west as my character being the hero. Yeehaw!!!

Oh I have always loved Robert Conrad in any role. Now that man has talent, he's a singer, athlete, and he has brains, great hand eye coordination and body control, strength and beauty. That man was a piece of art work.
He would be great as a Greek statue and drawn naked on canvas in pencil, acrylic and ink.
No matter his work it was good, he always put in great effort and did a great job.
His personal life I don't get into stuff like that, like I said before it's none of my business and I don't really care.
I can think of numerous roles I'd like to see Robert Conrad portray, he had the talent and the potential in becoming an even better actor.
The skies the limit with this talented man.
Being superficial now but I love his eyes, his eyes are so expressive they speak volumes of emotion, intellect and his funny side, and I love all of his physical features, he is also very intelligent, highly driven, very professional gentleman in his work but he may have played a little too rough for my tastes but that just shows he isn't perfect, far from it. He's a very nice man.
I don't dream of Robert Conrad, I don't get into actors and their lives, like I said in a previous post I have my own life, I don't need to fantasize being or having any relationship with an actor. I am fulfilled with my life enough as it is.
Oh sure I liked his singing. I've heard better and I have heard a lot worse.
I have no need to write fanfic with James West and Artie. I like creating my own original characters and stories. It's more fun. But I don't mind reading what some of you people have written, at least there are a few here that can write and some of you do a good job creating some great imaginative adventurous stories. ;D

Well, I said I'd give this a go; but it's certainly not going to be as lengthy as last night's part one.
Fave role? I'd have to say James West. I really haven't seen RC in much of anything else. While I enjoy him in WWW, I'm not motivated to seek out his other work. Sames goes for George Clooney, Brad Pitt, etc. It's simply a matter of my taste; I've always been a fan of the more mature character actor. Give me Ian McKellen, Alan Rickman, etc.
Least fave? There was this quasi-spy show on YouTube (don't remember the name) that I tried to give a try. Couldn't get through it - even with a guest star I liked.
Bad character but good acting - I don't have enough data to comment
Languages - Spanish, I think
Before he became an actor - dunno
Roles he might have shone in - action/adventure ones, preferably with dry, tongue in cheeck humor. (A very different) Captain Jack Sparrow comes to mind. James Bond could have been interesting as well. He might have been a good Hawkeye on MASH.
His best feature? - he was one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen. I don't think he had a bad feature. His eyes, of course - but I wouldn't discount that bodacious butt!!
Role opposite RC - not really interested in playing opposite RC. James Bond's M (a la Judy Dench) is the only possibility I can think of.
Yes I like his singing. A pleasant pop-style voice.
Fanfic - not many - but those I've done are on this board and are WWW based, so his character takes part.

As with the other thread, answering a few of the questions, but not all of them.
Which of Robert's many, many roles is your favorite?
Jim West.
How many languages can Robert speak? What are they?
Just a guess, but I believe I heard that he knows Spanish and French, as well of course as English.
What [to be entirely superficial and fan-girlish] do you think are Robert's best features?
Eyes, smile, and let's just go with the word physique.
Did you like his singing, when we got to hear it?
Yes, he's a good singer.
Have you written fanfiction in which one of Robert's characters takes part? Which fandom? Where can we read it?
I've written WWW fanfiction, posted both here and on Fanfiction.net.

Which of Robert's many, many roles is your favorite?Oh most definitely James West Which is your least favorite? I would have to agree with you on that call Rielle, Paul Ryan/DA, that was a great disservice to Mr. Conrad's talents. I had forgotten about that until I read your comment on it. Which of his roles even the ones where you might not like the character, do you think he did his best work in? Oh yes the bad guy in Columbo I will also agree with you on that one too. What roles do you wish Robert had portrayed? put it another way: Which characters or roles do you think he would have really shone at? I like your suggestions Rielle very interesting. I think he would have been great at any role especially what has already been suggested in the action/adventure arena as a daring, multi talented, martial artist, spy type role. Do you think there were roles that wouldn't have suited his range of talents? Which ones are those? I don't think so. I would have loved to see him in a Shakespeare play What [to be entirely superficial and fan-girlish] do you think are Robert's best features?
His eyes would be number one and his whole body. . To me the sign of a gifted, committed, involved and generous actor is that spark in their eyes that says to the audience... what a great game we're playing! Did you see that last stunt? Did you hear that last line? Can you guess what's coming! - Robert does that. And we're in the game with him. Oh yes! That's it I agree Rielle, you put into words what I was just thinking!! ;D What role would you/do you dream of playing opposite Robert?Any role that gets me next to that gorgeous man. How about the bed roll. ;D Did you like his singing, when we got to hear it?Very much so, yes! Have you written fanfiction in which one of Robert's characters takes part? Which fandom? Where can we read it?I just started being involved in a rpg with the character of James West. As Apollo has stated when it's finish I think it will be posted here. ;D

While I love Ross, Robert is my favorite, and more than being a "fan" of either actor, I am a fan of the show--and have been since 1965.
Which of Robert's many, many roles is your favorite?
James West, far and above. Though he did a magnificent job as Pasquinel (and surprised a lot of people).
Which is your least favorite?
Nick Carter, which appeared only as a pilot movie. Probably not his fault, but he took on the roles of both Jim and Artie, being an athletic fighter as well as appearing in disguises. Didn't work.
Which of his roles even the ones where you might not like the character, do you think he did his best work in?
Might get back to you on this. Have to think about it.
How many languages can Robert speak? What are they?
Spanish definitely. French, maybe. Not only for Pasquinel, but he was and is a big star in France.
What did he do before he became an actor? Lied about his age, worked various jobs, and I think he tried to join the Navy or Marines, though I'd have to go back and check that!
What roles do you wish Robert had portrayed? put it another way: Which characters or roles do you think he would have really shone at?
I think he could have done a lot of various types of roles, and showed it, especially after WWW. He was Pappy Boyington, Pasquinel, a DA (for better or worse). He has a sense of humor so he could do comedy, and did appear in that one sitcom--name of which escapes me. With George Segal I believe.
Do you think there were roles that wouldn't have suited his range of talents? Which ones are those?
I agree that Shakespeare might have been out of his league, but with some coaching, who knows?
I have a (sanitized) copy of a movie he made in Mexico around the time of WWW, in which he plays a rather rough, not always very nice, cowboy/outlaw type--and does it very well.
What [to be entirely superficial and fan-girlish] do you think are Robert's best features?
His eyes--whatever color they are. He's a Pisces, and for Pisces, the eyes are often an outstanding feature. Next would be his smile. And his bod. He's not overly muscular, but is lithe and trim. Just perfect for his size.
He shows his athleticism over and over again in WWW, and I love to watch his fights and stunts. Perfectly choreographed, like a fine ballet or Broadway show.
What role would you/do you dream of playing opposite Robert?
His grandmother. ;D
Did you like his singing, when we got to hear it? Oh yes. He was no Pavarotti or even Bing, but he had a very nice voice.
Have you written fanfiction in which one of Robert's characters takes part? Which fandom? Where can we read it?
As I said before, lots. They are here, there and everywhere--and to be more explicit, on this site, the other WWW site, and fanfiction.net. Some day, if RL ever simmers down, I'll write some more!

FYI I just saw RC in an interview 1999 france. He is asked what languages he speaks. He named about 5-6 languages RM spoke and then said he only spoke english and not very well. Sort of joking but in a way letting you know he didn't go to college but has street smarts as his strength.

That's interesting Miss Gordon. Was Mr.Cangey referring to that he was grateful for Mr. Conrad correcting his spelling, grammar and English or were you referring to Mr. Cangey being grateful for not being educated in the pubic fool system? I mean public school system. Also there are different types of education one can obtain during ones life that doesn't have anything to do with schools or Universities. Thanks for sharing that. ;D
