Friends, I'm trying to remember the title and author or at least to find the latter so I can go back and re-read the story: The plot is one I'd like to play with myself, in a very light hearted manner, hopefully even a shortish project...
It involved someone maniacal not Loveless, I'm pretty sure, who caused Jim and Artie to literally, physiologically switch places. And of course I'm not going to step on any other writer's creative property. If that writer asks me not to proceed I won't put even one pixel on 'paper'.
It just occurred to me that the basic idea could be tweaked, turned and worked through and come out as a whole new story.

It's here on this site. It's under Redhead's Reading Roundup, the title is The Night Of The Mindless Bodies. A funny story where the bad guy, not Loveless, can switch minds from one body to another. Maybe this guy and Loveless can work together or Loveless can steal the device or claim it was stolen from him.

More than likely he would claim it was stolen from him.

Oh nuts! Now you've all got ME thinking about a spin on a body-switching story (definitely involving Loveless).
However IF and when I'll ever get to it is another matter entirely!

Thanks, Spotted Pony for the answer. And thanks all for chiming in on the idea. Feedback doesn't only help after a story gets written. I'd better check Redhead's story before I take it any further.

Hi Rielle, goodness I'm honored anyone even remembered that I wrote that junk!! I was actually thinking today on a Loveless take on the idea (while recalling a Doctor Who episode with Rose & Cassandra that had me LOL) I was also thinking of renaming it and giving it a better fitting name, that and having to go through all that trash I wrote and re-write it all so it flows better! but certainly, go ahead! I have steel toe boots (well in the fanfic world anyway!)

Jim and Artie while switched still bantering with each other... which is so much a part of their partnership...

Well I have a cute scene for a new fic along the same lines based off a Doctor Who ep with Cassandra if you want it ;-) I still think every piece I wrote is cr@p & need to be rewritten.
Oh btw I think on your older site you had an unfinished Loveless piece that started out marvelous how about finishing that one ;-)

Oh btw I think on your older site you had an unfinished Loveless piece that started out marvelous how about finishing that one ;-) me, with an unfinished story? naw, never happened! ... or did it? I wrote a post-ep for Murderous Spring... but its very much in an alternative W3 universe... so I never posted it here or on Kristin's big forum, either. It was an experiment in writing for me, an exercise that only the readers can say if it worked. but maybe I have pubbed unfinished stories... the Round Robin here is definitely far from any conclusion. and so maybe I just blanked the whole horrible/incomplete thing from my mind... as for my old stories, if we're talking about my old stories here, I've had to fight hard not to go back and re-write some of them... or parts of them. But those horses are long since out of the barn... I've actually never written a fanfic that centered on Loveless himself... I should though, I love the character and how Michael and John Kneubuhl made him so vivid and so complex... no cardboard villain at all, not 'the good doctor'!
